01
Balance movement and retention
The sleeve and tray need a working clearance that accounts for board, wrapping paper and glue. Too much friction makes opening awkward; too little can let the tray slip. A physical sample checks the feel in the intended orientation, including whether an additional stop is useful.
02
Design the pull and the first view
A ribbon, paper tab or finger notch changes how the box is held. Its position should work with the product weight and the available grip. Inside, the insert keeps the label or key detail facing the customer instead of allowing the contents to rotate.
03
Protect printed surfaces
The moving parts rub against one another. A dark printed sleeve, soft-touch surface or textured covering needs particular attention at contact points. We review the chosen paper and finish with the partner, along with assembly, quantity and the way the filled box will travel.
