Textured Paper for Packaging | BlackSea LOGI

Grain, print and touch

Textured paper for boxes and packaging

Texture adds character, but it also changes printing, folding and colour perception. BlackSea LOGI coordinates trials and checks through specialist partners, treating the surface as both a design and technical choice.

Grain and direction

Tell us whether you want linen, canvas, lines, embossing or a natural grain. Direction and depth affect logos, text and folds; a pronounced texture may require artwork adjustment.

Foil, details and folds

Foil can follow or contrast with the grain. We check small type, edges, relief, die cuts and creases because textured stock does not behave like smooth paper. The physical sample remains the reference.

Colour and variation

Texture scatters light unevenly and may create variation between sheets or lots. We define visual tolerance, base colour and finish; availability, MOQ and construction are confirmed for the project.

The decisions that matter

Statement or subtle texture?

Choose whether the grain should be immediately noticeable or quietly support the design.

Full-surface foil or detail?

A broad foil area and a small logo need different checks for registration and adhesion.

Natural variation acceptable?

Set how much tone and reflection may vary between sheets without harming the result.

Start with your brief.

Send the details you already know. We clarify the missing information together and check material, quantity and feasibility with the appropriate partner.

Questions about the project

Does texture change printed colour?

It can change perception and uniformity. For critical colours, test on the selected stock.

Can small type be printed on textured paper?

Yes, after checking size, contrast and grain direction on the sample.

Does textured paper always require a higher MOQ?

Not always, but dedicated textures, special colours or complex structures may require one.
